2nd Annual Foster Care & Adoption Expo

This is the second year the City of Glendora and Glendora Chamber of Commerce are participating in an effort by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services to host a seminar for people who may be interested in adopting a child and/or becoming a Foster Parent or weekend host. The cities of El Monte, Azusa, Irwindale, West Covina, Covina, Monrovia, Duarte, various School Districts and Ministerial Associations are also partnering in this important event.

Did you know... 
•  California has approximately 55,851 children in foster care;
•  Over 13,000 children are ready, wishing, and waiting for a loving family to adopt them;
•  In Los Angeles County, there are over 18,000 children living in foster care;
•  Nearly 500 are waiting to be adopted;
•  If a child is over 8 years old, chances of being adopted lessen every day.
