President Circle Page

July is coming to an end and happy August from the Glendora Chamber! Where did summer vacation go? School is starting soon and Flashback is almost here. As always, there are many opportunities to connect with other businesses, the community and more! Below you will find events to RSVP for so please take a moment and check them out. You can also simply go to our chamber calendar to do so HERE.

There was a new "Silver" addition to the Chamber's President Circle!
Southland Properties is the latest business to join the Glendora Chamber of Commerce’s President’s Circle. The President’s Circle was developed at the request of Chamber members who would like to become more involved, sponsor events or purchase tables at Chamber functions and wanted a better way to budget for their upcoming year.

As a longtime business in the City of Glendora, Southland Properties will now receive additional exposure as one of our Silver President’s Circle members. This concept allows businesses to sponsor the Chamber throughout the year and submit one check to cover it all. The additional recognition at all events because they are a member of the President’s Circle, is also a major plus. I would encourage all businesses to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

There were also renewals that were President Circle Members!
Glendora Community Hospital (Silver), G.H. Wood Design (Bronze) and Proforma Quality Printing (Bronze) have decided to continue their President Circle Membership with teh Chamber. We thank these and all our members for continuing their membership with the chamber and helping top make a difference in the Glendora business community. More PC information.

So much more below! Workshops, forums, events and more... Please let us know if you have any questions. See you soon!

Sincerely,
Joe Cina

Modern Music School opened up their summer program to all students this year, in celebration of their new school in Glendora. The summer break special is running for all program types including private lessons, group workshops, and band programs. Though the famous music institute is known for its effects on young minds, they welcome young hearts as well. Members of MMS range from four to a hundred and four years old. The recommendation is to call the school as soon as possible for optimum availability.

The German founded MMS got a lot of attention last year after the hugely successful release of two books by the schools CEO Hans-Peter Becker. The two education-centric publications focused on the overarching methodologies of modern learning techniques. Becker recommends anyone who has ever made sound in their life to come experience the effects of these wonderful practices first hand.

Modern Music School Inc. is an international music institute focused on the cutting edge concepts of pedagogical and didactic teaching methods. MMS believes that everyone is a musician, and challenges you to let them prove it! Contact Samantha De Bie at samantha.d@modernmusicschool.com for more information.

Glendora, CA, July 21, 2015 —  America’s Christian Credit Union (ACCU) strives to live out its mission “ To Reach, Serve and Teach” in and around the local community. This year, employees have been challenged and energized by a new initiative entitled ‘Live the Mission’, wherein the goal is to maximize charitable opportunities resulting in a greater community presence and focus on Christ-like servant leadership. This past week, ACCU was honored to present a check to Shepherd’s Pantry in the amount of $1,047.50 and a check to Neighborhood Homework House (NHH) in the amount of $1,082.50. The checks represented the total of funds contributed by ACCU employees via payroll deduction to these two ‘charities of choice’ in the second quarter of 2015. Read More

Animals can be full of surprises!  Your pet does not typically take well to men but when Uncle Charlie comes over your dog can’t get close enough to him!  You say your cat probably won’t be around when strangers are in the house but there he is sitting on your bosses lap at your holiday party!

The same can be said when you and your pets meet a new pet sitter.  The “Meet and Greet” is a time when the pet sitter comes to your house to meet you and let your animals give them their “sniff of approval.”  You show the sitter the routine and the location of food, water, leashes, etc. while the dogs Read More
